Eddie Nartey and the late wife
Actor and director, Eddie Nartey, has sadly lost his wife of less than three years.
He announced the unfortunate incident on Monday afternoon but didn’t disclose the cause of death.
“I don’t know what to say, I don’t know what to feel. I’m just in constant pain. Rest well my Habibi. God knows best. I pray for strength! #ripvida,” he wrote on Instagram.
He has since received a lot of condolences from friends in the creative arts industry as well as fans and followers.
“So sorry sigh**,” actress and producer Yvonne Nelson wrote. “How? I can’t believe it (crying emoji),” actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo also wrote under his post.
Eddie Nartey and Vida Danso got married on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Trassaco Valley, Accra.
Their traditional marriage was strictly by invitation and was attended by a number of his colleague actors including Van Vicker, Pascaline Edwards, Juliet Ibrahim and many others.
They recently celebrated their second year anniversary on September 22, 2020 to which Eddie shared a post saying: “Words alone won’t be enough to celebrate you on this day. It’s already two years and you’ve been incredible and very supportive. Thanks for your love. May God continue to bless you. I love you Habibi. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.”
But Vida has sadly passed on. It is not clear what caused her death. Our condolences to Eddie Nartey and the family.
