Education Ministry Dismisses Mahama’s Claims On UESD

Matthew Opoku Prempeh

The Ministry of Education has dismissed claims by former President John Mahama that President Nana Akufo-Addo has moved the satellite campus of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD) from Afram Plains to his hometown, Kyebi.

According to the Ministry in a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Education Minister, Rodney Nkrumah-Boateng, the claims made by Mr Mahama are incorrect.

The statement indicated that the site for a proposed satellite campus of UESD is 20 miles away from the President’s hometown “and therefore the assertion that the President has relocated the said campus to his hometown could not possibly be correct.”
