Dubai-based movie producer Edward Kyeyune has expressed an interest in Ghana’s movie industry.

According to him, he is impressed with Ghana’s movie industry and wants to work here. He is, therefore, hoping COVID-19 would be over soon so he makes his way down to Ghana.

“I’m looking forward to working with the Ghanaian movie industry and I can’t wait for the COVID-19 to be over,” he said this in a short interview with NEWS-ONE over the weekend.

Ghana’s movie industry remains one of the oldest industries on the African continent.

Over the years, it has produced great films like ‘Love Brewed In The African Pot’, produced by Kwaw Ansah, one of the legendary filmmakers in Ghana. The film was shot on celluloid film. There is also ‘Kukurantumi ? The Road To Accra’, produced in 1982 by King Ampaw, a Ghanaian filmmaker trained in Germany.

The industry, no doubt, stands tall as one of major industries in Africa. Even though stakeholders in recent times claim the industry is collapsing, it is gaining attention out there.
