Efia Odo
Social media influencer, Efia Odo, has reaffirmed her faith following the outcome of Ghana’s December 7 general election, which saw the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its candidate, John Mahama, emerge victorious.
Efia Odo, who had predicted on December 2, 2024, that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, would win, faced backlash online after her forecast did not materialise.
Some accused her of being bribed to endorse Bawumia, a claim she denied, explaining that her prediction was based on a divine revelation, not political support.
In the wake of the election results, Efia Odo shared her thoughts on X, reaffirming her unwavering faith in God despite the ridicule she received.
She wrote, “We all have to go through a moment of shame, insult, being made fun of because of what we believe. And in those moments, is your belief going to waiver or is your belief going to stand firm?
“I’m a believer of God through Jesus Christ. Not even these results will shake me or make me lose faith in Him. Laugh now, my peace is in my soul and no one can take it from me, becasue Jesus Christ gave it to me.”
