Endurance and other cast on set
Renowned dance icon, Endurance Grand, has landed a role in one of Hollywood’s most anticipated films of 2026, the big-screen adaptation of ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.
The first official teaser for the fantasy epic dropped recently, revealing a star-studded cast and giving fans their first look at the world of Orïsha.
Endurance Grand appears among the ensemble, joining global names like Ayra Starr, Damson Idris, Idris Elba, Viola Davis, and more. In theatres on January 15, 2027.
Based on the bestselling novel by Tomi Adeyemi, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ follows Zélie Adebola, a young girl with magic in her blood, on a quest to restore magic to the kingdom of Orïsha and free her people.
Prince-Bythewood, known for ‘The Woman King’ and ‘The Old Guard’, directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Adeyemi herself, ensuring the adaptation stays true to its West African-inspired roots.
The film is being positioned as Paramount’s answer to a Black-led fantasy franchise, with massive VFX, martial arts choreography, and costumes drawing from Yoruba culture.

Endurance Grand, celebrated for her Afro dance style and viral choreography, makes her major film debut with this role. Her inclusion highlights the growing presence of Ghanaian creatives in global film and TV.
The teaser also confirmed that Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer, Tems, will be featured on the soundtrack with her hit ‘Me & U’, adding another major African music presence to the project.
With its mix of African folklore, A-list talent, and music from artistes like Tems, the film is already generating major buzz as one of the biggest African-inspired blockbusters ever made.
