Ex-MASLOC Officers In Trouble

Stephen Amoah and Sedinam Tamakloe, Ex-MASLOC Boss

Former officials of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) during the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, who allegedly misappropriated state funds, will soon face prosecution, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MASLOC Stephen Amoah has announced.

Stephen Amoah aka ‘Sticker’ stated that a forensic audit revealed how funds of MASLOC were misappropriated by some former officials under the previous Mahama administration.

He stated that the said NDC members were in the knowledge of the findings.

The NDC members who are afraid that they would be in trouble soon have started coming out with allegations to discredit me, he added.

Speaking in an interview with Hello fm, a radio station based in Kumasi, the MASLOC CEO denied reports that he has engaged in fishy deals.

“NDC members are working hard to fabricate reports to dent my image.  They are afraid of the forensic investigation into their financial malfeasance at MASLOC when the NDC was in power for eight years.

“They know that certainly the findings of the forensic audit would expose the rot and put them into trouble so they (NDC) have started making wild allegations to discredit me.

“The NDC has accused me of indulging in fishy deals so as to disgrace me, but all their bad deeds would not work, because I am an honest person who would never stoop low to indulge in criminal acts,” he stated.

Sticker said a certain company agreed to supply cars to MASLOC for onward distribution to beneficiaries in the country, who would only pay 10 percent to receive the vehicles and later on pay the remainder.

Per the deal, he said, government of Ghana was not supposed to pay any money for the release of the cars to the beneficiaries, but some NDC members started making ugly noise about the deal so it has been cancelled.”

Sticker stated that the findings at MASLOC would soon be publicized.
