A young man identified as Yusif, an Ex-National Security Operative was whisked away on Wednesday morning at the El- Wak Stadium, Accra by the Police for possessing a firearm during the Arise Ghana Demonstration organized by the opposition National Democratic Congress.
He is alleged to be a bodyguard of the Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu as photos of them surfaced on social media.
He was spotted taken away by the Police to the Headquarters as there was no further information about the arrest for now.
The Police also said, the National Organiser of NDC, Joshua Akamba had a weapon and was advised by the Police to put the weapon away after his attention was drawn to the illegality associated with such an act.
Joshua Akamba was also urged to notify other demonstrators to stop carrying offensive weapons during the demonstration.
