The late Adam Salifu Braimah
Former Savannah Regional Minister, Adam Salifu Braimah, popularly known as “Uncle Sally,” has died after a short illness at the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Braimah served as Member of Parliament (MP) for the Salaga South Constituency from 2017 to 2021 and was the first Savannah Regional Minister, who held that office from 2018 to 2021.
He was the son of the late Yagbonwura Timu I, who also served as an MP and minister during Kwame Nkrumah’s administration.
The late minister was laid to rest yesterday in accordance with Islamic rites.
His passing is a great loss to the people of Salaga South, and Gonjaland.
