Minister of the gospel and women activist Reverend Mrs. Olufemi Rose W. Cole-Njie was among 16 Africans honored at this year’s Prestigious Annual Predecessors Award in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The high profile Awards put together by Relevant Achievers Impacting Nations celebrated people who had impacted lives and communities positively.
The UK-based Methodist reverend minister left the Courtyard Hotel in South Africa on Saturday 22nd June an elated legend.
In an interview on Coffee Time, a popular radio show in The Gambia, The esteemed honoree expressed pleasant surprise and satisfaction for the recognition saying, “…l was surprised when I received the news about the recognition. I realized that all that I have been doing is not lost. ”
And responding to what the recognition meant to her, the Minister who also serves on Racial Justice Committees said it would urge her on to tell a better story about herself in a book she plans putting together.
