First Sky Group, a Ghanaian holding entity comprising subsidiaries in the hospitality, construction, insurance, banking, commodities trading and bitumen processing sectors has held its 21st anniversary thanksgiving service.

The event, attended by First Sky Group staff as well as politicians and ministers of God, at the Accra International Conference Centre, was themed, “The Faithfulness Of The Lord Never Ceases (Lamentation 3:22-24).”

It was hosted by the Founder and Executive Chairman of First Sky Group, Eric Seddy Kutortse, and had various gospel ministers leading the congregation in a time of praise and worship to the Lord for His goodness throughout the year 2023.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kutortse said the theme re-echoes God’s continued, unprecedented and enduring blessings that the First Sky Group and its subsidiaries, experienced in the course of 2023 and by extension, the past 21 years.

“The year 2023 was not favourable globally for businesses. Some businesses collapsed, others saw very minimal growth; but for the mercies of God, our businesses were sustained and even saw marginal growth. God is indeed faithful.

One would observe that for us at the First Sky Group, the critical ingredient responsible for our existence and growth has been the abundant grace and love of God functioning in us to break new grounds, turn fallow fields into profitable experiences and lead the corporate entrepreneurial narrative in job and wealth creation through employment, innovative solutions and hard work,” he said.

Mr. Kutortse said 2024 is an interesting year as the country goes to the polls in December for the general elections.

“Let us with resolute energies, firm effort, fortitude and purpose, preserve our collective peace, mindful that we are one people, one nation with a common destiny.

Today’s gathering here with persons from all walks of life under the umbrella of God is a manifestation that we are indeed one and nothing should divide us,” he added.

He said the plea to protect our collective future underscores the significance of the harmony and resilience in building a flourishing nation, “and by God’s grace, I pray that we will sail through 2024 peacefully to the admiration of the world.”

Most Reverend Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church in Ghana was the guest speaker.
