Former Nigeria Election Boss Visits Ghana

Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, is to pay a three-day visit to Ghana from the 12th to 14th of September 2019.

His visit, according to the Electoral Commission of Ghana, forms part of efforts it is making to broaden it’s scope, knowledge and learn best practices on the electoral process both locally and internationally.

In a statement signed by its Acting Spokesperson, Sylvia Annoh, the EC said “Prof. Jega is a man held in high repute internationally in Elections Management.

Prof. Jega is a Nigerian academic and fourth Chairman of INEC.

He oversaw two general elections in 2011 and 2015 in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation.
