Frankie Taylor Celebrates 20 Years On Fox FM

Frankie Taylor, a popular Kumasi-based radio presenter, is gearing up to mark his 20th anniversary on radio.

The radio presenter, who is also an actor, movie producer and philanthropist, has worked assiduously as a radio broadcaster for the past 20 years.

Frankie Taylor, who is the brain behind the introduction of the most listened-to hiplife music programme on radio dubbed Atumpan, is also the host of Africa Express.

Based on his outstanding achievements in the radio industry in Kumasi and Ghana as a whole, Frankie Taylor has won many awards, both home and abroad, including ‘The Outstanding Leadership Award’ dubbed ‘Nsoroma Award’ by Global Centre for Transformational Leadership, 2014 Ghana DJs Award Best Music Promoter of The Year 2014 by Mercury Events and a host of others.

In an interview with BEATWAVES after the launch of his 20th anniversary in Kumasi, Frankie Taylor disclosed how happy he is to be alive to continue with his career, adding, “It is the work of God which has made it possible for me to reach this far.”

Frankie Taylor also revealed that he has lined up a number of activities which include donation to some selected hospitals, needy homes in Kumasi and widows to mark his 20th anniversary.

He added that the anniversary celebration would be climaxed with a gospel musical concert to thank God for His mercies and grace upon his life.

The radio presenter expressed gratitude to all his colleagues who have supported him in diverse ways throughout his career.

He thanked Francis Poku, CEO of Fox and Hot FM, as well as hiswife, Mrs. Mavis Poku, for supporting him in diverse ways to get this far.

He thanked his wife, Mrs. Princess Danso Taylor, for her immense contribution to the development of his radio career, as well as the Fox FM general manager, management, staff and all his clients for their support.

Frankie Taylor started his radio career with Radio BIYAC at Akim Oda in 1995.

At Radio BIYAC, he rose to become the first programmes director and later joined Fox 97.9FM in 1999 when it was established.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Royals Production, which specialises in film, music productions and event management. He has acted in movies like ‘Nhyira’, ‘Adom’, ‘Come Back Love’, ‘Asempa’, among others.
