Freda Rhymz, CJ Biggerman
Rapper Freda Rhymz and music executive CJ Biggerman clashed on X after a social media post reignited a dispute over her rise in the music industry.
The exchange began on March 5, 2026, when CJ Biggerman reacted to a trending post asking users to share a true story from the music industry that sounds fabricated.
In his response, the music executive claimed he played a major role in helping Freda Rhymz win the reality show MTN Hitmaker but said she later cut ties with him and signed with rapper and entrepreneur D-Black.
“We wanted to create the biggest female rapper from GH. After putting in effort to produce, direct, and coach her to win MTN Hitmaker, she ghosted us and signed to D-Black. I still haven’t recovered from that heartbreak,” he wrote.
Freda Rhymz quickly pushed back, dismissing CJ’s claims and saying he should not take credit for work done by others.
According to her, Harmaboy and Blue supported her throughout the competition. She also questioned why CJ had not helped his own girlfriend, who reportedly took part in the same contest.
“Harmaboy took me through Hitmaker, and Blue funded it. People are taking credit just because they were around when the actual work was done. Your girlfriend was also in the competition. Why didn’t you do it for her?” she posted.
CJ Biggerman responded again, insisting he played a role in her journey and calling the rapper ungrateful.
“I literally used my phone to register you for MTN Hitmaker. I was a former contestant who understood the blueprint and alerted the guys you mentioned; we worked as a team. But an ingrate will always be an ingrate,” he wrote.
The back-and-forth has since sparked debate on social media, with many users weighing in on who deserves credit for the rapper’s breakthrough. Old posts from 2018 have also resurfaced, showing Freda Rhymz thanking CJ Biggerman for encouraging her to enter MTN Hitmaker and believing in her chances of winning.
