ENERGY MINISTER, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’, has called for total team work from his three deputy ministers.

Working in a peaceful atmosphere, he stated, would help them to meet the ruling NPP 2020 manifesto promise for the energy sector.

The Energy Minister made the passionate call when he officially introduced his three deputies to the management team of the ministry.

The three deputy ministers include Mohammed Amin Adam (MP for Karaga), William Owuraku Aidoo (MP for Afigya Kwabre South) and Andrew Egyapa Mercer (MP for Sekondi).

Napo, who doubles as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South, also explained to his deputies the practicable ways he thinks the ministry should be managed, and charged them to diligently execute their duties to help improve the ministry.

“I took the opportunity to update them on the newly restructured organogram and urged them to be diligent in executing their duties. This is to ensure that we collectively resolve the issues in the energy sector as well as meeting all the targets as promised in the NPP 2020 manifesto,” he explained.

Napo said he was expecting his deputies, whom he described as brilliant men, to actively support him so that the Energy Ministry would flourish at all times.

“They will be assisting me in various capacities to run the day-to-day activities of the ministry and ensure the utmost efficiency of the sector,” he stated.
