Ga-Dangme Beauty Pageant Gets Goldstar, E-Station Support

Goldstar Air and E-Station Cargo Limited have donated personal protective equipment (PPE), airline branded t-shirts and caps to events powerhouse, Agidor Events, organizers of ‘Naa GaDangme 2020’ beauty pageant.

The donation formed part of both organizations’ support aimed at complementing government’s effort towards the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The items were presented to the organizers of the event on behalf of both companies by Emelia Yeboah-Boateng of Goldstar Air and Jibiao Ye of E-Cargo.

Presenting the item, Ms. Yeboah-Boateng said the safety equipment were to be used to protect themselves and the public as they went about their activities.

According to her, both organizations are committed to supporting the fight against the spread of Covid-19.

Receiving the items, Madam Dorcas Koney, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Agidor Events, expressed appreciation to the minister and both organizations for their donation.

According to her, the beauty pageant is being organized by Agidor Events in partnership with TV Africa with the aim of empowering young Ga-Dangme ladies in the Ga State and its environs to promote and portray and project the rich Ga Dangme culture.

The much anticipated event, she said, was scheduled for nine weeks, where the winner would be crowned as the Naa Ga Dangme.

The winner will take home a cash prize of GH¢10,000, a trip to the United States of America, educational scholarships among others.

The first runner up gets GH¢6,000, educational scholarships and souvenirs from the sponsors; while the second runner up will receive GH¢4,000, educational scholarships and souvenirs from the sponsors.

According to the organizers, the contest was not limited to only women in a particular area but opened to young ladies within the Ga State who were eloquent and bold.

The contestants are Naa Nuerkie – Kpone, Naa Meeley – Prampram, Naa Adjorkor – Teshie, Naa Kwaley – Ga Mashie and Naa Ayeley – Nungua.

The rest are Naa Amerley – Osu, Naa Adorkor – La, Naana Asi – Ada, Nana Koryo Kloyobi – Krobo and Nana Bueki – Shai.
