Gadayi Is Kumasi GNPC Ghana’s Fastest

Pre event favourite Edwin Gadayi of Ackon Track & Field on Saturday  demonstrated brilliance to  emerge winner in  the Ashanti, Bono and Volta  GNPC Ghana’s Fastest Human race, in Kumasi.

The sprinter registered a good time of 9.84 seconds in the 100 meters dash to emerge tops.

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) duo of Enoch Fosuhene and George Appiah, who did 10.33 seconds and 10.35 seconds respectively followed.

In the ladies seniors’ category, Janet Mensah of the Speedsters Club in Kumasi clocked 11.34 seconds, beating Anita Afrifa of All Nations University at 11.66 seconds and Amanda Yeboah of St. Louis, who did 12.03 seconds.

For their individual efforts, they received medals, trophies, certificates and products from sponsors.

Founder of Ghana’s Fastest Human project Reks Brooby expressed satisfaction saying, “I must admit, it went well, the level of competition was up there. It gets better every year; this year’s has been something else, thanks to GNPC, Adidas, GOIL and our sponsors.”
