Gbetsile Chief Supports Residents To Celebrate Christmas

Chief of Gbestile in the Kpone-Katamansu Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Teye Kojo Amankwa Sune I has put smiles on the faces of his constituents as part of his annual Christmas donations to the people in his traditional area.

The food items which included bags of rice, cooking oil and other canned products, form part of an annual event marked by the Chief of Gbestile to support widows and the aged in the community.

Over hundreds people including widows and aged from Gbestile and Number One communities were also given a cash sum aside the food items in a form of Christmas and New year present.

Nii Amankwa Sune said, the gesture forms part of his commitment to alleviate poverty in the area and also ensure that his people have enough to celebrate the Christmas and New year.

He promised that ongoing development projects being undertaken by his office will soon be completed

President of the Gbestile Residents Association, Rev. Emmanuel Amponsah, who thanked the chief for the gesture done to them, promised their support to him.

Some widows and aged who benefited from the gesture described the chief as a benevolent person who is determined to put smiles on the faces of his people at all times.

They expressed their overwhelming gratitude and appreciation to the chief for his constant support, generosity, love and kindness to the people of Gbetsile.
