GCB Limited has committed to the sponsorship of golf competitions league at the Royal Golf Club, Kumasi, for the second successive year.
The league was well patronised by golfers at the club in its maiden year 2018, and was helpful in determining the best golfer of the year for both men and ladies. There are all indications that patronage of the competition will be better this year.
Presenting the sponsorship cheque to a representative of the management of Royal Golf Club some few weeks ago in a short ceremony, George Ackorful (Regional Manager) assured the club of GCB’s long-term commitment to promoting excellence in golf.
He indicated that the GCB has returned due to the high rate of success and the level of competitiveness of last year’s golf competitions league.
Mr. Ackorful was convinced that competitions league contributed significantly in increasing the level of patronage witnessed at the club in 2018.
Mark Asiamah thanked GCB for their support and commitment to golf in general and the Royal Golf Club in particular.
He assured GCB that the club would work with them to ensure high returns on their investments at the club.
Mr. Asiamah used the opportunity to invite the staff of GCB, especially those in Kumasi, to take advantage of the relationship between the bank and the club and start playing golf.
He challenged other corporate bodies in the Kumasi metropolis to emulate the good example of GCB and partner with the golf club.
