The Ghana Community Network (GCNet) Limited recently held a thanksgiving service in honour of God for protecting the company and its staff through 2018 successfully.
General Manager for GCNet, Emmanuel Darko, said though 2018 was generally challenging operationally, management held its head above water and assist government to address its revenue mobilsation gap.
Government failed to meet it revenue target of GH¢24.5 billion and managed to mobilize a total of GH¢22.7 billion
Mr. Darko also mentioned certain challenges that management of GCNet would like government to address for the company to make its operations successful.
He was hopeful the problems would be addressed this year.
Daniel Asiedu, who delivered the sermon on the theme, ‘Grateful Praise’ called on all staff to work hard for successful operations this year.
GCNet is an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system that links all the major players in the clearing process and enables quick processing of all customs clearance documentation on line and facilitates clearance of goods through the ports.
The essence of the system is to increase speed and transparency in the clearing process and ensure that the government mobilizes the right revenue.
