GCSE Pass Rate Increase To 79%

The pass rate for the General Certificate of Secondary Education
(GCSE) in England has increased from 70 to 79 percent.

The increment comes as pupils across England, Wales and Northern Ireland being presented with their GCSE results.

Student who wrote BTecs are seeing their results being delayed as those qualifications are reportedly being re-graded.

Reports say key subjects like English and maths have seen saw steep grade rises in England.
