The late Joshua Hamidu (rtd)
The Ghana Armed Forces and the family of the late Lt Gen JM Hamidu have jointly opened a book of condolence for the former Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS).
The book was opened at the OB Akwa Matambo, at the Command Officers’ Mess in Burma Camp last Thursday, February 11, with family members in attendance. The timing for the signing of the book in the General’s memory is 10am to 3pm and ends on Tuesday, February 23, 2021.
A statement by the Director of the Public Relations Directorate of the Ghana Armed Forces, Col Eric Aggrey-Quashie on the subject added that “the Book will thence open at the family residence at 11 Kwabena Aniefi Street, Dzorwulu, Accra, from Wednesday, February 24, 2021.”
Gen Hamidu passed away at the 37 Military Hospital aged 84, after a brief illness.
