THE GHANA-Anhui Chamber of Commerce has donated 600 pairs of footwear, 1,520 shirts, 2,120 sports equipment and two motorcycles to support the National Sports Authority’s (NSA) upcoming Constituency Games initiative.

Speaking during the handover, Chairman of the NSA’s newly inaugurated Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Committee, Samson Deen, commended the Ghana-Anhui Chamber of Commerce for stepping up to align with the NSA’s vision of structured, long-term sports development.

“Ghana does not lack sporting talent. What we must build is the system that finds the talent, finances the talent, develops the talent, and projects that talent to the podium. Collaborations like this move us away from emergency funding to strategic investment,” he stated.

Representatives of the Ghana-Anhui Chamber of Commerce reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening socio-economic and sports ties between Ghana and Anhui Province, China, emphasising that empowering young Ghanaian youth through sports is a core corporate responsibility.

The Resource Mobilisation and Partnership Committee which includes co-chairman Yaw Ampofo Ankrah alongside Hajia Zenabu Sulemana, Alhaji Mutawakilu Iddrisu, and Mavis Ekua Enyamah Kwainoe was established to secure sustainable funding as well as partner with international bodies, diplomatic missions, and corporate sponsors.

The items and motorcycles donated by the Ghana-Anhui Chamber of Commerce will be deployed across regional and constituency structures to help mobilise athletes for the inaugural edition of the games.

Former Black Stars captain, André Ayew, who was a special guest, endorsed the nationwide talent-discovery campaign.
