Ghana EXIM Bank Wins International Award

The Ghana EXIM Bank, a strategic and leading principal export financial Institution, has been honoured with an international award as the “Best Financial Institution of the Year 2018”  for its immense financial and strategic support to the agricultural sector in Ghana since it began full operations in 2017.

The award ceremony was the climax of a two-day International “Meet The Farmers Conference” held from 4-5 November, 2018 at the H Hotel, Dubai, UAE.

The conference is an agro conference that aims to connect large-scale agro commodity producers to buyers alike between Africa and the GCC Countries.

It was organised by CRENOV8, a leading conglomerate  consulting and digital firm in the  Middle East, Dubai and Africa.

The organisers lauded the innovative roles that Ghana EXIM Bank has played in its short existence by disbursing and financing the Non-traditional export agriculture sector in Ghana to a tune of more than GHS414 million within the last two years.”

The bank has outlined 15 agric sectors with a focus on non-traditional export, including cashew, avocado, orange, fresh sweet potatoes, among others, which will, no doubt, create jobs, help industrialise Ghana’s rural economy and generate foreign exchange…this is very impressive,” said the organisers during the event.

Richard Osei Anane, Head of Corporate Affairs, Ghana EXIM Bank, received the award on behalf of Lawrence Agyinsam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
