Ghana Gas Shuts Down For Maintenance

The Ghana National Gas Company Limited (Ghana Gas) will from August 1 to 17, 2024, shut down its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities.

The shutdown is to allow for critical safety and essential maintenance works to enhance the plant’s operational efficiency and uninterrupted gas supply.

During the shutdown period, Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field will be available for delivery at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS).

A statement issued by the gas processing factory and signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Owusu-Bempah Bonsu said, “Ghana Gas deeply regrets any inconvenience that the shutdown may cause.”

The statement assured the general public that there will be uninterrupted power supply during the shutdown period.

“We are committed to maintaining the highest standard of safety and operational efficiency,” it indicated.
