The Ghana Hotels Association has congratulated Mr. Francis Doku on his new appointment at the Media General Group, Ghana’s leading media company.

This follows a communication on Friday, May 29, 2020 by the Media General Group announcing new appointments and changes in its executive management team effective Monday June 1, 2020.

Mr. Doku, who until the announcement was the General Manager for MG Digital Limited and General Manager of MG Radio, was announced as the General Manager for MG Television, responsible for TV3 Network and Onua TV.

A congratulatory letter from Ghana Hotels Association signed by its President, Dr. Edward Ackah-Nyamike Jnr, stated that Mr. Doku’s new appointment was a testimony to his integrity, commitment and dedication to his work over the years.

“We wish to use this opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate your significant contribution to the growth and development of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry in Ghana through Travel Pass, a radio programme on 3FM, which you serve as the host. Travel Pass has become the official source for all reliable information and discourse on matters related to the industry,” Dr. Ackah-Nyamike Jnr said.

Mr. Doku’s experience spans across the communications and media value chain—from journalism, public relations, advertising, media planning and digital marketing. As a media planning and advertising executive, he has worked with global blue-chip media and communications companies such as MediaCom (Vizeum) and Carat. Between July 2009 and July 2014, he served as General Manager of Adams Media Limited (Carat Ghana).

In 2014, he was appointed the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Rave Group, a multi specialized communications services company. A role he held until 2016, when he established and managed Maestro Africa Group Ltd, a full scope communications company, as its chief executive officer.

He is a well sought after radio and television pundit on tourism, travel, culture, entertainments and the creative arts. He is an avid writer and a columnist of the Graphic Showbiz; with travel, reading and watching football as his interests. Francis holds a BSc in Business Administration and an Executive MBA (Marketing) from the University of Ghana (UGBS), Legon.
