Ghana, Israel Discuss Agric Technology

Government and private sector businesses from Ghana and Israel are scheduled to discuss how they can collaborate in the area of agricultural technology at a meeting scheduled for 25thJanuary, 2018 in Accra.

The dialogue, according to the Israeli Embassy in Accra, would be led by Oded Halamit, a special guest from Israel’s Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO) under Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The event is a precursor to the 20th International Agricultural Exhibition and ConferenceAgritech Israel 2018, which comes off in Tel Aviv from May 08-10, this year under the theme, “Agriculture in arid and semi-arid regions.”

The triennial Agritech Israel Exhibition and Conference is one of the world’s most important exhibitions in the field of agricultural technologies, innovation and food processing.

Agritech Israel 2018 will receive a global audience of leading companies, policy and decision makers, scientists, innovators, academics, economists, projects managers, financiers and investors and market influencers to a common platform to share views and ideas and improve knowledge on the advanced techniques for increasing productivity.
Ami Mehl, Israeli Ambassador to Ghana, noted that the Ghana-Israel Agricultural Technology Breakfast Dialogue, Accra, would offer a sneak peek into the upcoming Agritech Israel 2018 event and discuss some of the innovative technologies developed and/or pioneered in Israel that revolutionized agriculture around the globe.

The Ghana event will also offer the organizers of Agritech Israel 2018, through the guest speaker, an opportunity to understand Ghana’s peculiar situation and explore avenues for knowledge and technology exchange.
