National pride was on full display as Ghanaians trooped out in Black Stars jerseys ahead of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup match against Panama in Toronto, Canada yesterday.
From Accra to Toronto, traders say sales are booming as fans scramble to buy the new 2026 kit. “The way Ghanaians wear the jersey today de3 ashock ooo. Mo pe Black Stars saaaa. Well done,” one trader said, adding that business has been good. The love for the team has spilled into schools and workplaces too.
Health Policy Expert, Dr. Samuel Sesah wrote on X: “For the first time in almost a decade, I have seen school-going kids wear a Ghana Black Stars Jersey to school on a day of their football game. All across town, you will assume it is Ghana’s Independence Day. The love may finally be back.”
Social media is buzzing with the same energy. Samantha posted: “Today dier if you’re not wearing a Ghana jersey, you’ll feel left out.”
Aku Samm joked: “All of a sudden, some schools have asked pupils to wear Ghana jersey to school on Wednesday. Eiiii, ew) budget b3n so.”
