Dankwa (R) receiving his citation from RIM executive

The CEO of Blag Ghana and Paint & Tiles Ghana Limited and pioneer of the commercial sale of artificial grass in Ghana, Eddie Dankwa, has called on club administrators to consider going for the construction of Astro Turfs.

To the multiple award-winning CEO, his campaign for Astro Turf is motivated by the huge financial benefits that come with it.

His exploits drew the attention of reputable awards body – Rectitude International Mission (RIM), and has been awarded the Top Quality/Dedicated Service Honours at the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours, 2021.

On Friday, top executives of RIM presented his award to him at his East Legon office.

It was in recognition of his immeasurable contributions to the development of field sports in the country.

The citation, which accompanied his award, lauded his “impactful contribution in Ghana’s sports arena since the inception of the 4th Republic.”

World Diplomatic Federation (WODIF) Communications Strategist, Isaac Rockson, said it was important to celebrate impactful pioneers such as Dankwa while they are young and still in their prime.

After receiving the trophy, which accompanied the citation, Dankwa recounted departing a job in the oil and gas sector in Australia and deciding to relocate to Ghana in 2013.

He said the journey has not been easy, but it had paid off, and has urged more Ghanaians in the diaspora to return home.

The event was put together by Rectitude International Mission (RIM), WODIF and powered by BORGCA.
