A leading oil marketing company in the country, Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), has interacted with some selected media houses in the country at a function in Accra.

The meeting was initiated by Mrs Rhoderline Baafour-Gyimah, a member of Board of Directors of GOIL and also a veteran journalist. She indicated that the meeting sought to bring oil and gas media practitioners together to project the values of the company.

It was also for the re-launch of ‘Association of Women in the Media (ASWIM)’. She revealed that in spite of the stern competition confronting the company, GOIL had consistently improved on its product base and quality as well as customer relations.

Public Relations Manager of GOIL, Robert Kyereh, pointed out that GOIL had demonstrated the indomitable spirit of the Ghanaian, and grown from strength to strength in the face of challenges over the years, which saw multinational oil companies like British Petroleum (BP), Texaco and others folding up.

He said “With GOIL’s listing on the stock market in 2007, GOIL was making sure that any profit it made was reinvested into the Ghanaian economy to make life better for all citizens.”
