According to a statement released on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, by DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, the suspects stormed the station and opened fire after workers took refuge in an office. A security guard and a pump attendant were shot and injured in the attack.
The robbers made off with GH¢13,460 in cash before fleeing the scene.
Police say items retrieved from the suspects and held as exhibits include: one alder tupal pump-action gun, serial number 245A-12944 , one electronic shocker , one cutlass and one bulletproof vest.
Investigators who processed the scene also recovered 19 spent cartridges and one live round of ammunition.
