Dr Clifford Braimah
Managing Director of Ghana Water Company Limited, Dr Clifford Braimah, was recently recognised in Accra by the Humanity Magazine International for his efforts in transforming Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL).
Humanity Magazine International is a medium which campaigns for the promotion of humanitarian endeavours, corporate investments and businesses for employment creation to benefit the citizenry.
A citation accompanying the award stated: “With respect to his effort for the transformation of the Ghana Water Company an enviable achievement towards the provision of quality drinking water to Ghanaians, including the protection of the water bodies, which is essential for economic and social development.”
Dr Braimah appealed to Ghanaians to stop wasting water and destroying water bodies which come with huge costs to the country.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Humanity Magazine International, Yahaya Alhassan, who presented the award said: “GWCL is on a threshold of success by easing stakeholders’ stress, as the world is moving towards digitization. The launch of the electronic billing and payment system spearheaded by the current managing director is a milestone.”
