Gye Nyame Entertainment has signed a two-year recording and management deal with two artistes – Christian Asare, known on stage as Papa Chris, and Obenewah Bempong Krofa, also known as OBK – to record, market and distribute their works on the global market.
The deal was signed at a meeting held with the two artistes at the office of Gye Nyame Entertainment – the label that handles Freda Rhymz and actress Margaret Serwaa Adu-Asabre.
The two artistes, who are currently in the studios working on their yet-to-be released singles, will officially be introduced to Ghanaian music fans by the record label by the end of the year.
In an interview, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gye Nyame Entertainment, Kwaku Boateng, thanked the two artistes for accepting to work with his company.
He noted that his outfit was ready to work with more artistes in the industry to enable them to attain professional status.
He added that as part of efforts to promote Ghanaian music on the global market, Gye Nyame Entertainment had a deal with a number of international music distribution companies to help market Ghanaian music on the international market.
He disclosed that his outfit was planning to organize a musical concert to introduce all the artistes on its label, adding that the concert would also be used to launch the albums of the artistes.
According to him, Gye Nyame Entertainment was working tirelessly to organize talent hunts to unearth new talents and demystify artistes with exceptional ability.
He told BEATWAVES that the record label was established to help the Ghanaian music industry develop and also assist in the development of creative talents, especially when it comes to music development.
