Hackman Owusu Agyemang
Former Foreign Minister and founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hackman Owusu Agyemang, has been elected Chairman of the NPP’s National Council of Elders.
He was elected at an extraordinary meeting of the Council held recently, replacing the late C.K. Tedam.
Mr. Tedam passed on at age 94 in April 2019, creating vacuum for the chairmanship position.
Mr. Owusu Agyemang who doubles as current Board Chairman of the Ghana Cocoa Board is believed to be the only surviving founding member of the NPP.
He served as first national treasurer of NPP, the former minister of foreign affairs , interior, works and housing.
