Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard has once again courted the interest of European champions, Real Madrid.
The Belgian was the subject of interest from the Spanish giants in the summer and was prepared to move but remained at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri was insistent that Chelsea hold on to their star man, and he has repaid the Italian’s faith with seven goals and eight assists in the league this season.
But his contract with the Premier League club expires in 2020 and he appears unlikely to extend his deal further.
Despite the departure of Zinedine Zidane in the summer and Real’s patchy form since, the interest in a move remains.
Hazard told French radio station, RMC: ‘I have always liked Real Madrid as a club, with or without Zidane.
‘At the end of this year I have one year left on my Chelsea contract. We will see, it’ll be up to me to make the decision.’
The 27-year-old has not shied away from discussing his future since failing to get his move after the World Cup.
In September he revealed that a move to the Bernabeu was his ‘dream’, and even said he would stop talking about his suitors a month later.
