Hearts Keeper Solomon Agbasi Stable After Concussion Scare

Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi is in a stable condition after suffering a concussion during Sunday’s Ghana Premier League encounter against Young Apostles.

The incident occurred in stoppage time when Agbasi was left concussed after dealing with what appeared to be a routine save.

The 21-year-old required immediate medical attention on the pitch before being stretchered off and transported by ambulance to the clinic at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Hearts head coach Didi Dramani provided a reassuring update after the match, confirming that the goalkeeper had responded well to treatment.

“He is fine now. The medics responded to the situation quite well and on time, so he was revived in no time,” Dramani said.

The coach added that Agbasi remains under close medical observation as a precaution.

“He could not come to the post-match conference because it was too soon for him. You cannot underrate these things. You think you are fine, but you really need to be monitored for a while,” he noted.

Agbasi, who has made 11 appearances for Hearts this season despite being the club’s second-choice goalkeeper, is expected to continue his recovery under medical supervision.

A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a blow or jolt to the head, leading to temporary impairment such as dizziness, confusion, and headaches.
