Hearts of oak and Asante Kotoko yesterday won their respective midweek encounters against Wa All Stars and Ebusua Dwarfs.
Hearts, posted a 3-1 win over All Stars in Cape Coast to make it up for their 0-3 thrashing to Chelsea last Sunday.
Selasie Bakai scored in the first half, while Joseph Esso doubled the lead from the spot. All Stars’ Kingsley Osei pulled one back also from a spot kick.
The Phobians fought on thereafter which resulted in the third goal in the 75th minute through substitute Cosmos Dauda.
In Kumasi, Kotoko recorded a 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs with goals from Obed Owusu and Frederick Boateng, who scored a late winner.
Solomon Okudzeto pulled parity for Dwarfs eight minutes into the second half.
Meanwhile, Liberty Professionals dented current leaders, Ashgold’s fine run with a 1-0 win, courtesy Elvis Kyei in Dansoman.
