Hitz FM’s Andy Dosty Honoured

Popular radio presenter and disc jockey (DJ), Andrew Akwasi Amoh, known on radio as Andy Dosty, has been honoured for his immense contribution in service to mother Ghana with regards to media growth and development.

The radio presenter was honoured by Presidential Globe African Heroes Awards at a ceremony held at the Accra Marriot Hotel in Accra over the weekend.

The theme of the event was dubbed ‘Sustaining the integrity of Ghana through exemplary leadership and holistic discipline.’

He was presented an award, trophy and citation to signify the unity, democratic freedom, camaraderie and solidarity Ghanaians revel as a nation.

The organisers stated that they have taken into consideration Andy’s enormous support, contribution of resources, decent leadership performance and invaluable service towards a worthy cause very needed to preserve the integrity of Ghana since 1992 till date.

The latest award comes shortly after he was honoured at the Ghana Events Awards for being the longest serving DJ in Ghana.

Andy Dosty, who is the host of the Hitz FM’s morning show, is a professional broadcaster and DJ with several years of experience.

He has over the years entertained music lovers on radio and at events across the country with his tactical selection of classical music mixes and excellent delivery.

Andy Dosty has also served as a master of ceremonies, having hosted a variety of programmes in Ghana and beyond.

Also a musician and actor, Andy Dosty started his career as a mobile spinning DJ with a group called Ghetto Boys before moving to Tokyo Sounds and finally to Podium Night Club.

When Andy Dosty started his radio DJ career in 1996, he became very popular within a short time due to his creative style of play and presentation.

As an actor, he has featured in many films and TV series such as Wild World, Alicia, Love Comes Back, Neighbours, Afia Schwarzenegger among others.
