The amount according to Dr. Susu Bridget, who is also a founding member of the hospital, is in fulfillment of a promise made by management to reward the parent school of the overall best candidate in the 2017 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The gesture was also in line with collaborations between the hospital and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to reward hard working students and their parent institutions besides encouraging science education.

The Management of Family Health Hospital in addition has decided to offer free medical care to the best five students in the 2017 WASSCE.

Holy Child School, following the exceptional performance of two of its students, Jochebed Adwoa Sutherland and Audrey Emefa Awuttey at the 2017 WASSCE, was adjudged the “Best Science School” by WAEC.

“We share in your success story and we encourage you to spend the amount on purchasing relevant equipment for your science laboratory which obviously will make the teaching and learning of science easier,” she stated.

The Headmistress of the school, Rev. Sister Josephine Anto who commended the management of Family Health Hospital assured that the amount will be used for the intended purpose.

Speaking to DAILY GUIDE shortly after the presentation, the Ambassador of Family Health Medical School (FHMS), Mrs. Reeta Auguste, indicated that the seventy (70) bed medical facility (FHH) was established in 1993 under the Companies Code 1963, Act 176 to provide diagnostic, laboratory and medical services to both corporate and individual clients.
