Honda Unveils 2018 Honda Accord

The Japanese Ambassador and Officials of Honda Ghana unveiling the new Accord

Honda Ghana Limited has unveiled the 2018 Honda Accord onto the Ghanaian market.

The new Accord, unveiled last Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Accra, comes with a splendid taste of luxury and safety features, which makes the vehicle the best so far in the Accord segment.

The 2018 Honda Accord has eight airbags and knee airbags fitted for all passengers in case of emergencies, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking and lane departure warning and mitigation.

Another outstanding feature of the latest Accord is the new double size engine.

The 1.5 L VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 143 KW and 260 N?m of torque mated to a 6-speed manual or continuously variable transmission.

The optional 2.0 L VTEC Turbo four-cylinder engine replaces the V6 engine option from the previous edition.

Honda Accord’s ninth generation was first launched on July 14, 2017.

BUSINESS GUIDE gathered that production began on September 18, 2017, and sales began on October 18, 2017 in the United States as a 2018 model.

The 2018 edition, which is also part of the ninth generation, was initially unveiled on July 14, 2017.

Speaking at the launch of Honda Accord, Brand Manager for Honda Ghana Limited, Manish Daryanani, said the new car is a good representative of the Honda philosophy.

According to him, “Honda’s philosophy is all about providing comfort safety and luxury to all its customers. Our latest addition is nothing short of these three words. Customers can experience a touch of class and safety in this new 2018 Honda Accord.”

Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Tsotomu Himeno, praised Honda for their remarkable strides in the automotive industry.

He disclosed that this new milestone for the company is a proud moment for the entire Japan nation.

“Honda has its history from Japan, and it’s a great pride for me that it is making strides here. It also prides in on a key characteristic of Japan, which is quality. We also laud them for empowering their workforce by creating jobs for many,” he said.

The latest edition is open to the public, particularly prospective buyers for test drives from September 21, 2018.
