Human Skeleton Found In Farm

The human skeleton under a tree

A GROUP of labourers, engaged by someone to weed in his orange farm, got stunned and horrified after they discovered a human skeleton in the farm.

The orange plantation in question, according to a report by the Bohyen District Police in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, is located at Amia Yobi, a village near Adankwame.

The report, sighted by the DAILY GUIDE, said one Daniel Agyabeng engaged the services of the labourers on December 2, 2022 and the skeleton of a female was found.

According to the report, a rope was found tied to a tree under which the skeleton was found, giving an indication that perhaps the person committed suicide via hanging.

“On 02/12/22 about 1545 hours, Akwasi Badu of Adankwame called at Adankwame police station. He reported that his nephew, Daniel Agyabeng engaged labourers to weed around their orange plantation at Amia Yobi, a village near Adankwame.

“In the course of weeding, they came across a decomposed body under a tree. Police together with the complainant visited the scene and found skeletal remains of an unknown female under a tree,” the report said.

According to the police, evidence in the farm suggested that perhaps the dead person hanged herself, noting that police were still investigating the case further though.

“A red rope was also found, tied to a tree directly above where the skeletal remains were. It is highly suspected that the person did hang herself,” the police report noted.

The police also said the skeletal remains were collected and deposited at KATH mortuary for identification and autopsy.
