I Asked My Husband To Resign Many Times– Late Amissah Arthur’s wife

 

The wife of former Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur has disclosed that she repeatedly urged her husband to resign from his position during his time as Ghana’s Vice President.

Matilda Amissah Arthur made this revelation in an interview with JoyNews’ PM Express Personality Profile set to air on Friday, June 30th at 9pm.

Despite her persistent calls for resignation, Matilda Amissah Arthur’s husband refused to yield to her suggestions.

Mr Amissah Arthur served as Ghana’s Vice President and head of the economic management team under former president John Dramani Mahama.

He passed away five years ago on June 29th, 2018, during a fitness training session.

The late Vice President’s death came as a shock to the nation, with tributes pouring in to highlight his gentle demeanour and calm approach to life. Before taking on the role of VP, Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur was an economist and former Governor of the Bank of Ghana. He became Vice President after the untimely death of Ghana’s first sitting president, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
