France-based Ghanaian gospel act, Naa Efia Charlotte is accusing a Takoradi based church, “Breakthrough Family Ministry” of humiliating her when she was invited to perform at the church’s revival program.

In an interview with Takoradi based Rock FM, she alleged that she was stopped from performing at the church program because she was not in heels.

According to her, she was pregnant at the time hence the decision to wear designer slippers for the gig but she was refused.

“I was then pregnant so doctors advised me not to wear high heel shoes. I, therefore, put on designer slippers for the performance”.

“While I was waiting for my turn, the MC came to tell me the pastor’s wife; Rev. Jayne Angelina Osei Tutu said I was in slippers so I can’t climb the pulpit with slippers. He told me the man of God Bishop Samuel Osei Tutu had told them no one should mount the pulpit without high heels shoe”.

“I thought they were joking and indeed I was not called to perform. I was surprised that in the house of God, they denied my performance because I was in slippers. It was a big humiliation for me and I nearly cried. This should not have happened in church,” she added.
