I Will Work For NPP Govt – John Dumelo

John Dumelo

Actor and a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dumelo has disclosed that he will accept an appointment from Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo if he becomes president and is given the opportunity.
Dumelo, who is a staunch campaigner for President Mahama in his second term bid, revealed on Starr Chat Wednesday that he is ready to serve Ghana in any capacity and will welcome the opportunity to work under any government.

“I will be serving the country…so there is nothing with that, same as Kwesi Nduom or anybody else who wins; it’s service to the country, so why not.

The famous actor and entrepreneur also dismissed reports that he recently pledged his support for the opposition leader.

According to him, he only visited Nana Addo at his residence with a friend because it was an opportunity to meet the former Foreign Affairs Minister for the first time.

“I think it was a Muslim holiday when a friend called and said he was going to see Nana Addo and asked if I will like to come and I said yes because I had never met Nana before, and we went there, it was just a cordial relationship,” he told host Bola Ray.
Dumelo is the first Ghanaian citizen to hit one million likes on Facebook.
He had his secondary education at Achimota School and further studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering.
He was nominated for categories in Most Promising Actor and Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the 6th and 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards respectively.
