Empress Gifty
Gospel singer, Empress Gifty, says she is not disappointed about missing the Gospel Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
Speaking on UTV, she shared that not winning the top gospel award did not affect her.
“I don’t feel disappointed for not winning the 2025 Gospel Artiste of the Year,” she said.
She added that even if she hadn’t won any award at all, it wouldn’t have changed her outlook.
“When these things happen, you have to be focused and keep working,” she stated.
This year, the Gospel Artiste of the Year award went to Joe Mettle, who also won Best Male Vocal Performance for his song “Obo Awon Oba.”
While Empress Gifty did not win that category, she was recognized with the Best Traditional Gospel award for her hit “Watch Me.”
