Insurance Agents Commend ImperialHub

PRESIDENT OF the Weija DVLA Agents Association, Peter Aye Neymer, has disclosed that ImperialHub, a platform introduced by Imperial General Assurance for buying insurance on WhatsApp, is helping agents to save cost and time in doing business.

“With ImperialHub, we are able to insure vehicles anytime, anywhere and any day. The platform gives us the convenience to do business and also saves time. I commend Imperial Assurance for introducing this innovation which is helping us to deliver our business promise to our clients,” he said.

Mr. Neymer gave the commendation in his solidarity message during the commissioning of the Weija branch of the company.

He said members of the Weija DVLA Agents Association are ready to partner Imperial General to bring insurance closer to the doorsteps of people within Weija and its environs and the insuring public as a whole.

The Managing Director of Imperial General Assurance, Mr. Robert Wugah disclosed that the company has met the new minimum capital requirement of GHC 50 million set by the National Insurance Commission (NIC).

“This new capital injection into the company has positioned us to expand our operations across the country to serve the needs of the insuring public,” he said

Mr Wugah added that the opening of the Weija branch of Imperial General forms part of the company’s strategic plan to set up new branches in other locations across the country in order to bring its products and services to the doorstep of all its existing and potential clients.

“In furtherance to our expansion drive, our Tema and Takoradi branches have also been relocated to ultra-modern offices. These offices have adequate number of staff and resources to respond to the increasing demand for our insurance products in these markets”, he said.

On her part, the Head of Core Supervision at the NIC, Ms. Rita Apau who represented the Head of Supervision said the commissioning of the Weija branch of Imperial General, will bring about growth and expansion that will make the company solid and sustainable.

Touching on some of the interventions the NIC is implementing to sanitise the insurance industry, she said the Commission, in line with enhancing Market Conduct supervision, is enforcing the Claims Guidelines which provide general timelines for the timely settlement of genuine claims.

“With the creation of the Motor Insurance Database, the Commission is determined to enforce compliance with the set market motor rates and also actively enforce strict compliance with the No Premium, No Cover directive.”, she added.

Imperial General Assurance is a wholly-owned Ghanaian insurance company that handles all kinds of general insurance businesses.
