John Boadu Takes Campaign To 3 Northern Regions

ACTING GENERAL Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has intensified his campaign ahead of the party’s 2018 Delegates’ Congress slated for June.

Mr. Boadu, who is vying to be elected the substantive General Secretary of the party, on Tuesday, April 2018, began touring the three Northern Regions of the country, beginning with the Upper West Region.

As part of the campaign tour, he has been meeting with all constituency executives in the regions and propagating his #JohnBoadu4GS campaign message of hope and prosperity to the party’s grassroots.

The Acting General Secretary’s campaign is centered on highlighting the invaluable role of the grassroots to the party, and is themed, ‘Strengthening and empowering the party’s grassroots for victory 2020 and beyond.’

His campaign largely focuses on resourcing party executives at all levels, and the construction of permanent party offices and furnishing same with computers, provision of job opportunities to members, making resources available on monthly basis to the constituencies for the running of their offices.

Mr. John Boadu is also looking at establishing a party ideological school or training institute, setting up a functional situation room at the party headquarters for the purpose of receiving and addressing complaints of party faithful in collaboration with individuals and institutions.

He is held in high esteem among the party faithful, considering how he rose through the ranks – from the grassroots level – making him the better placed candidate to tackle issues affecting them (grassroots).

As part of his campaign agenda, he will be visiting all the 275 constituencies in the country to apprise himself with the current state of the party.

Mr. Boadu is also expected to meet with all constituency executives to deliberate on issues concerning the grassroots.
