The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has finally declared popular actor, John Dumelo as its parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
The declaration has come days after his major competitor Fred Nuamah announced his withdrawal from the NDC primaries in the constituency.
The declaration was made at a ceremony graced by scores of political bigwigs, including Fred Nuamah, a past contender on Sunday, August 13, 2023.
A viral photo from the event showed John and Fred holding hands in the air to prove they are now united after their rivalry in the past months.
Earlier this year both John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah announced their intentions to run for the position of Member of Parliament for the Aywaso West Wuguon constituency.
The announcements brought bad blood between them until Fred decided to step down from the race.
