Fred Nuamah and John Dumelo
Actor and Member of Parliament hopeful, John Dumelo has moved on from “he is longer my friend” to “thank you Fred Nuamah.”
He now values Fred Nuamah as his friend after the latter has decided to withdraw from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries race for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
Earlier, John had denounced his friendship with Fred over the race.
According to him, he was no longer interested in being friends with Fred. This is because Fred is his friend but he decided to contest him for the same position.
Fred who had argued that John had given him his blessing to contest because he (John) was going to contest in a different CONSTITUENCY (SALL), announced on Tuesday that he had stepped down from the competition. The reason, he claimed was personal.
In his reaction on Wednesday, John made a U-turn on his earlier posturing on their friendship.
He indicated that they would now be working together and congratulated Fred for abandoning the contest.
“I just got off the phone with Fred Nuamah. I thanked him for stepping down and throwing his support behind me. Together we will make sure I win the Ayawaso West parliamentary seat for the NDC and also make sure @JDMahama becomes president in 2025,” he tweeted.
Fred and John made a lot of headlines in the past as a result of the NDC primaries. The incident brought a strain on their friendship to the extent that John threw jabs at Fred describing him as a backstabber.
