Musician, KiDi, has revealed that he was turned away from his first National Service posting.
Speaking in an interview with Kafui Dey, KiDi said he reported to the institution where he had been posted, only to be told by his boss that he could not work there.
The musician said he was given no clear reason for the decision and had to leave the institution on his first day.
KiDi subsequently applied for a reposting and was assigned to the National Service Headquarters, where he completed his service.
He also recalled how difficult it was to combine National Service with his growing music career at the time.
According to him, while he expected to spend his days recording music, preparing for shows and attending interviews, he instead had to report to work like any other service personnel.
He said Lynx Entertainment CEO, Richie Mensah, was even surprised that he was still undertaking National Service after joining the record label.
