Kofi Donkor
Kofi Donkor, husband of Ghanaian Gospel Minister Celestine Donkor, has threatened to take legal action against the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) for invading his home without prior notice.
Mr. Donkor deems the incident a violation of his privacy and intends to seek redress against the GIS for the alleged breach of protocol.
In a Facebook post, Kofi Donkor, who shared a picture from the CCTV footage which captured about three masked individuals in immigration uniforms, one already on the compound of his home while the other two were attempting to jump the fenced wall.
According to him, these unidentified immigration officers had no warrant, invaded his home for a search and left the gate unlocked, hence threatening the GIS for their unprofessional conduct.
While the cause of the unannounced home invasion was not made known by Kofi Donkor, he pledged to pursue the case until finality is brought to the matter.
The post read, “Ghana Immigration Service, I am yet to come to terms with how your men (from Weija) scaled over my wall to enter my compound without a search warrant, while there was no one in the house, and left my gate unlocked after your supposed search. You will hear from my lawyers in the coming days; that is a promise!!”
